Meridian 1 is available in several system Options: Meridian 1 Options
11C Compact, 11C, 51C, 61C, and 81C.
These Options are built on a foundation of state-of-the-art digital
switching equipment and software stored program control. As a platform
for integrated voice, data and video, each Meridian 1 Option delivers
sophisticated messaging, call center, and computer telephony integration
(CTI) applications for improved customer service; mobility and wireless
technologies for "anywhere, anytime" information access;
and Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) technology to support WAN bandwidth
consolidation, transport and delivery of multimedia communications.
The Meridian system portfolio can support businesses ranging
in size from 30 to 16,000 users. You can start small easily adding
lines and applications as your business grows or your needs change.
No matter which line size option you choose, the same powerful Meridian
1 features and capabilities are available to you.
Meridian 1 systems feature high port density to minimize equipment,
power and floor space requirements. Digital Line Cards with 32 ports
can support 16 Meridian Digital Telephones for voice and data communications,
over a single twisted-pair wire. Software-programmable Universal
Trunk cards can be configured on site to support a variety of Central
Office trunks such as CO, FX and WATS, and other trunk types including
TIE, DID, Recorded announcement and Paging trunks. In addition,
Intelligent Peripheral Equipment (IPE) Cards in the Meridian 1 off-load
call processing tasks and perform self diagnostic tasks resulting
in reduced installation costs and improved operations.
